 My kids and I recently returned from a Southern Caribbean cruise. Every port was fabulous, but St Lucia won the award for my kids favorite stop. It had everything to do with this brand new water park! Splash Island Water park is the Caribbean's version of 'Wipeout'. You and your kids will be laughing nonstop as you slip, slide, crawl, and jump all over this floating obstacle course. There is a trampoline, climbing wall, monkey bars, swing, slide, hurdles, and water volleyball.  The water park is located about 15 minutes from the port in Castries, a nominal taxi ride away. Minimum age is 6 years old and requires a life vest. There are lifeguards on duty (the men in red) on the water park inflatables who help to make the experience extra fun but focus on safety first. I found this establishment to be very professional run! There are chairs and umbrellas and a restaurant to order food and drinks.  I had to buy extra time to remain at this water park for the whole day as my children did not want to leave to go back to the ship. They got a great workout (always a plus when you are cruising and eating continually!) and can't wait to go back.
