A new segment of the travel industry that is growing fast is multigenerational travel. Time is more precious than ever before and trips where the entire family can reconnect have become very popular.
How about bringing the whole family together on a cruise to celebrate a golden anniversary? What better way to create a lasting memory than that? Cruising is especially appealing versus other vacations because of the wide varieties of activities that appeal to all ages. Everyone can spend their day or part of their day doing an activity geared for their age bracket and then the entire group can come together for dinner and entertainment at night.
Most of the cruise lines, especially on the newer ships, have a wide variety of family suites and connecting staterooms to accommodate groups. If Grandma and Grandpa are feeling especially romantic, they can participate in a wedding vow renewal ceremony.
Cruising is easy because you never have to worry where your next meal is coming from. All the activities are already planned. You only have to pack and unpack once. Your biggest decision, how much sunscreen to pack. (or sweaters to bring for an Alaskan cruise) Are you wanting as much flexibility as possible? Try Norwegian Cruise Lines who is considered the ‘freestyle’ cruise line.
Cruising has a 95% satisfaction rate which is why I love to send my clients on cruises.

Starbucks - Do You Buy it?
When I talk vacation prices with clients, I always try to stress the value of the vacation, not the price. When it comes down to it, even the most budget minded people want value over price. A great example of this is Starbucks. If price were the only consideration in buying that cup of coffee, Starbucks wouldn’t sell any! It is the same with vacation packages. When you go on vacation, do you want a cup of instant coffee or Starbucks?
So, what does a good value mean to you? I like to think of value is getting the most out of your dollar for a satisfying vacation. It’s about knowing yourself and exactly what you are looking for in a vacation. My job as your travel agent is to find that out from you and then find your perfect match. If the vacation is not what you wanted, then it is not a good value. But if we nail it, then every penny spent is well worth it.
Value can also be thought of in upgrades. Let’s say we find your perfect cruise. The cruise line fits your personality and the ports of call are everything you have dreamed of. You are hesitant to book that balcony cabin because it costs a little more than an inside cabin. Are you a family with young kids? That balcony cabin is going to come in really handy while the kids nap and you are able to read your book and put your feet up on the rail instead of being trapped inside a dark cabin. You like to relax in the morning with your coffee? What better way to start your day than on your balcony gazing at the horizon or your port of call? Is this a romantic vacation? Have a cocktail together, engage in deep conservation, get a little cozy, all on your own private balcony. For a few dollars more, you have greatly increased the value of your vacation.
As your travel agent, I want you to get the most from the dollars you have available to spend for your vacation. Please contact me today so we can find the best value for you! 480-725-8837
