If you plan on traveling at least a couple of times internationally in the next five years, consider applying for Global Entry. The application process is easy and will save you hours of time and a possible missed connection every time you travel back to the U.S. from an international destination. In addition, being accepted into Global Entry gives you automatic TSA Pre Check every time you fly in domestic airports. Here is how it works: You need to clear immigration and customs every time you fly back home from an international destination. You do this in the first U.S. city you land in. You are not just standing in line with the other passengers on your plane, but any other flights that have also landed. After you stand in line at immigration, you collect your luggage to recheck for your next flight and then have to stand in customs line. This process is long, tedious, and stressful if you have a tight connection for your next flight. Global Entry will get you through these lines in a matter of minutes! Instead of standing in line in immigration, you take a different direction to the Global Entry kiosk area. You simply approach a kiosk, scan your passport and fingerprints, receive a print out, and wave the white paper at the immigration officer as you pass by. If you have checked luggage, you will need to wait for that to arrive and then you can enter the special global entry line for customs. I applied and received Global Entry last summer and have tested it out numerous times. This program is TOO GOOD not to share. No more standing in line while exhausted after an amazing trip and no more stress about making the connecting flight. I care about my clients and their travel experience and would love for all my clients to travel with Global Entry. The $100 application fee lasts for five years.
