Petite Martinique is the smallest island in the country and it’s situated on a tip of an inactive volcano. When it comes to tourism, this island is still in its early stages of getting popular among tourists.

Carriacou is the second biggest island with a lot of hills.  It is ideal for taking long walks or hiking.  It also has some beautiful small sandy beaches and natural harbors.

Grenada is the largest island in the country and has a length of 35 kilometers and width of 18 kilometers. Located in the eastern part of the Caribbean Sea this stunning mountainous island is covered with unique tropical flowers and fragrant spice trees. Grenada was once an island that supplied European countries with cinnamon, ginger, cocoa and nutmeg. Today it is known around the globe for its crystal clear waters, long golden beaches and picturesque towns. Grenada is actually a volcanic island. In the middle of this island people can find waterfalls, beautiful small rivers, vivid rainforests and mountain lakes – something that rarely any other island in the world can provide. But it is not only the nature that is interesting about Grenada. This island also has rich history and rich cultural heritage. Fairs, markets, and local unforgettable festivals are part of the everyday life in Grenada. One of the most interesting things about this island is that people still produce rum and spices in a traditional way. Things to visit while in Grenada

Grand Etang National Park – Hikers and people who enjoy long walks will certainly enjoy this national park. It is located in the central part of the island and it has beautiful flora and fauna. The most interesting about this park is the Grand Etang Lake located in a former volcano crater. 

George Fortress – This fortress was built by the French in the early 18th century and it is the oldest structure of this type in Grenada. People often visit it not only because of its historical importance but also to take a view on the city of Saint George, Grand Anse beach and the incredible sea. 

Annandale waterfalls – The 9 meter high waterfalls are surrounded by beautiful exotic nature and at the bottom people can swim.

When to go?

The temperatures on Grenada are good over the whole season – with an average high of 29 and average low of 24 Celsius. The driest days are between January and April and this is probably the best period to visit this island.
