Help moving from Perth to Sydney and who should we have?

Hello, we are a family of New Zealand and have lived in Perth for the past 14 years. We are the cost of living here and rent and house prices in general are ridiculous, despite the fact that we are throwing around like Perth. We the idea of moving to Sydney, we have two teenage daughters and a dog and cat.'d love to hear from someone who made families of NSW. What was the most useful information / websites you used. How you find accommodation, what is the housing situation as the government (we are a family of low income), what advice would you give to a family and especially considering this approach are you happy in Sydney. Thanks

I am from Sydney and fell compared to the years in Perth for many years. But I got rid of everything I owned and flew with a suitcase and no dependents. Your move sounds quite different! I love Sydney and have always lived in the city center. But these days the rents are too and on Saturday he could have 50 people competing in the same place as you! It is good that you do your research first. You could be in a state of shock. The leasing market here is absolutely desperate and prices are the highest in Australia. If you're not ready to live in a dump real estate in the "no-flash" outer suburbs you will not pay less rent here than you would in Perth. I do not know about government housing, but as far as I know there was always a long waiting list and some of the suburbs are really scary and terrible (for example, Minto, Ambarvale, Mt Druitt, to name few to avoid). Penrith could be much – it is near the mountains – if you do not mind being away from the city. You can get best offer at Newcastle – where my family live – that is a beautiful city two hours north with fantastic beaches. The rents are cheaper, but the job can be rarer. Good luck:)
